I Am Enough: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Invitation to Participate

Represent the ILoveBoobies Charity for Women’s Month over the long weekend from the 9th to the 11th of August 2024. Use your in person events or activities : runs, walks, or hikes as a platform to raise awareness for educating, empowering, and screening disadvantaged South African women for breast cancer.

Where is it being held?

Participate wherever you are. Whether you are training at home or participating in an event away from home, all your activities count.

What is I Am Enough?

I Am Enough is a virtual challenge held over the weekend of 9th – 11th of August 2024. Enter via the website, and we will send you an invite to join our Strava club challenge/s. Complete a total of 15km over the weekend, either in one go or split over the three days. Challenge yourself to become fitter and stronger and embrace the theme – I Am Enough – be mindful, present, and love the process.

How do I log my activities?

Sign up with Strava: It's free. Sign up here. You must register with Strava to participate in this event and give us permission to view your data
Receive Race Number and Event Link: On the 8th of August, we will send you a race number and a link to the I Am Enough Club Event to join.
Automatic Uploads: Once you join the event, all your activities will be automatically uploaded as you finish each one. Ensure your settings are public, not hidden, so we can verify your activities.

Must I have a Garmin or Smartwatch?

Ideally, if you have one, it makes keeping track of activity time easier. You can automatically sync your smartwatch to Strava. If you don’t have a smartwatch, you can manually upload your activities to Strava. This event is based on honesty. Be a lekker human!

What is the entry fee for the I Am Enough challenge?

Entry is free. Please invite your friends. We will be sending out emails and would love it if you extend the invite to your friends. The more, the merrier. There will be 3 ILoveBoobies hampers up for grabs for the best group photo’s shared on social media.

Free socks for all finishers?

Submit your results by Monday night at 10pm (we will send you a link, also available on our website) to upload your results if you are not on Strava. Once verified, you will be sent a voucher to claim a free pair of socks. You will need to pay R99 for shipping. You are welcome to add additional merchandise to your cart. Important: Only one ‘free’ pair of socks per basket – it is not possible to share baskets with other participants.

Is there merchandise for sale?

Yes, we have loads of merchandise in our online store, including a limited edition I Am Enough t-shirt and message socks. We also offer cycling jerseys, active tees, t-shirts, socks, sun visors, caps, sun sleeves, and more. Purchases support our free screening program.

Can anyone participate in the event?

Absolutely. There is no age limit or time restriction to complete your activity each day. The only limitations are the ones you set for yourself.

I have signed up, what happens now?

Plan your weekend, set your goals, and find your purpose. Challenge friends, surround yourself with motivating people, and raise awareness for breast cancer.

Are there prizes?

Yes, we are giving away R25,000 from the 12th to the 16th of August. Winners will be announced at 5pm on our social channels each day. You need to have participated and submitted your results to be eligible.

Is there a Goodie Bag?

No, we are saving the most incredible Goody Bag for our October Imagine Challenge.

When will I get my free socks?

We will ship them the day you claim them.

Are we getting a race number?

Yes, you will be emailed a digital race number on the 8th of August. Print it out or keep it on your phone.

Are we getting a race medal?

No, we are not doing medals for this event.

Are we getting a certificate of participation?

Yes, once we have verified everyone's results, you will receive your personalized certificate of participation.

How does my participation make a difference?

By staying healthy and active, you stand the best chance of preventing cancer. By talking about ILoveBoobies and wearing our merchandise, you create awareness for breast cancer and the importance of regular checks. Proceeds from merchandise sales and donations fund our free screening program for women facing economic or logistical challenges in South Africa.
